Then again, I did that to William Elliott and he's off playing Baseball for Alabama. Maybe that holds true here, I mean Mississippi State did come up to offer him and he is now committed to the Bulldogs. He also wears #9 on the football team so maybe it is not so bad.
He is one of the biggest defensive players returning for Oxford next season and went largely unchecked because of Xavier Pegues opposite him in the defensive end position.
What most people do not know is that Liggins actually led the team in tackles-for-loss (TFL's) with 17.5 last season - 7.5 of which were sacks. He was also 4th on the team in tackles with 97 (4th to MLB Mike McGhee, DE opposite him Pegues and OLB Jarquis Adams)
Liggins is also a member of the Boys Track team which he helped earn a runner-up spot for the Chargers this past year. He throws the Discus for the Chargers and reached the North Half meet.
Expect Liggins to help out along the defensive line to be as stout if not better than last year. This is a promising football team with a lot of young talent surrounding this team both offensively and defensively. This proves to be another exciting year coming with Liggins anchoring the D.
