Yes, I've been challenged to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge - where you either have to cough up $100 as a donation to ALS or post a video getting dumped with a bucket (or large amount) of ice water - while you can also still donate to ALS at the same time. So here is mine, challenged by my parents and Ken Presley via Instagram. I also call a Challenge to fellow former classmate of mine Katie Cutcliffe, OHS QB Jack Abraham, and Friend J. C. Dickinson to do the same thing. The latter basically asked for it. ***Note: To anyone that thinks this is any sort of a waste. Here's my rebuttal: Both Water and Ice (Frozen Water for those that haven't learned that yet) will eventually evaporate into the air as Water Vapor (to which we can see high in the sky as clouds) or will be absorbed up by the surrounding grass/plants if done on grass. After it is in the sky in the form of clouds (condensed water vapor), it will come back down as rain - which the plants will receive kindly and grow when they absorb the rain or will fall into the ocean/river/lake/etc... where we actually get our water after being filtered (the key word being filtered - making our water drinkable). Ice we can make in our fridges (to those who have this feature) or manually do so by filling up an ice tray with water and putting it in the fridge. The only real waste would be our money - most of it to support ALS (which is really not a waste), and if anybody really needed to go out and buy a bag of ice and/or a bucket. So, if you still think it is a waste, pick up a Science book. | Post by Ben Mikell. |
