- Oxford Boys Basketball held a 45-30 lead Saturday against Olive Branch with 4:00 left in the 4th Quarter and Olive Branch came back and forced overtime. Tuesday night, Olive Branch held a 59-40 lead with 1:30 left in the 3rd Quarter and Oxford came back and forced overtime. Both games however ended in Olive Branch wins.
- In the Olive Branch game played Monday night, KT McCollins had a +/- of +14 in the game. (+/- in Basketball is the point difference when the player came on the court until he came off the court. Example: If McCollins came in with Oxford trailing 55-45, and came out with the game tied at 55-55, he had a "+10" +/-), DK Metcalf had a +6, no one else had better than a +1 - including none of the starters.
- The Soccer Games Oxford was supposed to play against Saltillo has been postponed to Thursday, January 16th. If Oxford Girls were to win that game, they will have clinched the Region 2-5A Title and the #1 Seed heading into the 5A Girls Soccer Playoffs.
