Oxford QB Parker Adamson, DE Xavier Pegues and OL Clifton Smith have all been named to participate in All-Star Games in December. Adamson and Pegues have been selected to participate in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game, a game that will be played on December 15th in Montgomery, AL at the Cramton Bowl. Adamson was one of just two QB's selected to play, the other is Wes Windham of Ocean Springs High School. Pegues will join 6 other DL that also made the roster. Eupora's Junior Graham will be the head coach for the Mississippi Team. Pegues will join a defense that include Lafayette's Brandon Mack at DB. Smith made the roster for the Bernard Blackwell Mississippi North/South Game to be played in Gulfport, MS at Milner Stadium on December 22nd. He joins 7 other OL that made the team for the North. Notably the two QB's that made the North team are Payne Horon of Grenada and Brett Thompson of Lake Cormorant - both who were soundly defeated by Oxford earlier this year. The head coach for the North team is Hernando's Anthony Jenkins. OHS Head Coach Johnny Hill will join Smith as the Scout Coach for the North Team in the Bernard Blackwell Game as well. |
